This is 14 days tour package will take you to Mount Kilimanjaro – the roof of Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world; the tour will also take you to the spice islands of Zanzibar. You will conquer the majestic Kilimanjaro before going to Zanzibar for a relaxing and refreshing beach holiday.

For the Kilimanjaro climb, you have the option to choose between Machame Route, Rongai Route, and Umbwe Route; you will do the six days version of whichever of the three routes you select.

• Machame Route – this route is usually done in 6 – 7 days; for this tour package, you will do the 6 days version.
• Rongai Route – this route is usually done in 6 -8 days; for this tour package, you will do the 6 days version.
• Umbwe Route – this route is usually done in 6 days.

Day 1: Arrival Day – Welcome to Tanzania

On this day you will arrive to Arrive in Tanzania; our guide will drive you from Kilimanjaro International Airport to your hotel in Arusha.

Day 2-7: Kilimanjaro Climb

Between day two to day seven (inclusive), you will climb and descend the majestic Kilimanjaro. Kilimanjaro climb will be on either Machame Route, Rongai Route, or Umbwe Route; you will do the six days version of whichever of the three routes you select. On the final day of descent from the mountain(the seventh day), you will be met by our driver at the mountain gate from where he will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha for a much need warm shower and relaxation. The day will be spent relaxing and unwinding in preparation for the next day when you will fly to Zanzibar for a beach holiday.

Day 8: Arusha – Zanzibar (fly-in)

On this day you will fly from Arusha to Zanzibar from either Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport; on arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met by our guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Stone Town. After resting and lunch, you will go for a tour of the Prison where you will see giant tortoises and a slave museum.

Late in the evening, you will head out for a local seafood at Forodhani Gardens; here the catch of the day is prepared and sold to both islanders and visitors.

Day 9: Stone Town Tour

Today you will tour the historical Stone Town which is the old town of Zanzibar. Inside Stone Town, you will see ancient buildings and places and also learn about the events that influenced the history of Zanzibar over the centuries. You will see the House of Wonders (Beit al ajaib), the Palace Museum(People’s Palace), the Arab Fort and the Slave Chambers amongst many other attractions. You will also walk the winding alleys as the locals have done for years as they go about their daily lives.

Late in the afternoon, you will be driven to the beaches of Nungwi where the remainder of the day will be spent relaxing on the beach.

Day 10: Nungwi Beach (full day)

This full day will be spent relaxing and unwinding on the beach after many days of travel and mountain climbing; later in the day, you can engage in a number of water sports if you feel that you have relaxed enough. The water sports include snorkeling, paragliding, jet skiing, and beach volleyball. Evenings are marked by spectacular sunsets that can be enjoyed from the balcony of your beach hotel or from the beach itself.

Day 11: Dolphin Tour & Nungwi Beach

Half of this day will be spent on a dolphin tour at Kizimkazi village on the southern tip of the archipelago; the other half of the day will be spent back at the beach relaxing. At Kizimkazi village, you can swim very close to bottlenose and humpback dolphins as they feed in the waters of the Indian Ocean.

In the afternoon, you will be driven back to the beach where you will spend the remainder of the day relaxing.

Day 12: Spice Tour & Nungwi Beach

Half of this day will be spent on a spice tour and then the other half will be spent at the beach relaxing. You will visit spice farms, where you will learn how they are used in traditional medicines and local cuisine; you will also see, smell, touch, and taste these spices.

Lunch will be served on the spice farm; you will be served local meals made from the spices and fruits grown organically on the spice farm. In the afternoon, you will head out to Nungwi beach where the rest of the day will be spent at leisure on the beach.

Day 13: Nungwi Beach (full day)

This full day will be spent relaxing and unwinding on the beach after many days of traveling and excursions. If you feel relaxed and energetic, you can also engage in a number of water sports.

On this day we will drive you to Zanzibar Airport for your departure flight back home.
